Overview

· Legal Basis : Article 21.4 and 36 of Special Adoption Act & Article 23 and 25 of the Enforcement Rule of the Special Adoption Act.

· Purpose : To provide adoptees with their records out of children’s facilities or institutions through permanently preserving adoption-related records.

Adoption-related Records

· NCRC has preserved records from 88 facilities/institutions(2013~2022).

· Digitalized data is added to Adoption Centralized Management System(ACMS) to be employed for adoption information disclosure and consequently for birth parents search.

Adoption Information Disclosure

· If an adoptee desires to check his/her adoption records out of these facilities/institutions below, he or she may petition NCRC for Adoption Information Disclosure.
